I create an intuitive cello journey inspired by the people in the space.
Before each session, I take a moment to empty myself of expectations, personal agenda, and any need to control what comes through.
I listen and feel what is present, and let the music emerge.
Each journey is created in the moment, in relationship with the people who are there.
And because of that, it will never exist in quite the same way again.

I began playing cello when I was five years old.
For decades, I have dedicated myself to the art of listening.
As a classical musician, I listen beneath the notes.
I listen for the emotional world inside a composition.
I listen for the story, the character, and the subtle possibilities that allow a familiar masterpiece to come alive in a new moment.
The intuitive music I create in The Music Portal is an extension of that same artistry.
Improvisation is not separate from interpretation.
It is the next expression of deep listening.
